Safeway Nourishing Neighbors

It’s sad to think about, but as many as 13 million children in our country may not know where their next meal will come

from. The Safeway Foundation, it is working to eradicate childhood hunger in America. With as many as 1 in 4  children in America at risk of hunger, the funds raised in September will be dedicated to local efforts that ensure every child has access to a healthy breakfast.

Nourishing Neighbors aims to fight hunger by helping keep food banks stocked, supporting meal distribution programs at schools, and supporting programs that provide food to seniors. As a program of the Safeway Foundation, Nourishing Neighbors is working to eradicate childhood hunger in America. Their September giving campaign is focused on raising funds to ensure that every child in our neighborhood has access to a healthy breakfast.

Every child deserves a healthy breakfast every day. Your generous donation to Nourishing Neighbors helps us make that goal a reality. Anyone wishing to support Central Union Mission through this program can go to one of the Safeway locations below and make a donation to  Nourishing Neighbors at checkout September 1- 30.
