Hours are flexible, but we would prefer to have someone who is willing to commit to a minimum of 15 hours a week during business hours. Some projects may also be done remotely and possibly outside normal business hours.
Qualifications
- Be a currently enrolled student
- Available for work 10-15 hours per week for at least 2months (hours are adjustable depending on one’s schedule)
- Experience with graphic design programs like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
- Can telecommute if desired

Film Communications Intern
Description
Our Communications team seeks an outgoing and self-motivated intern to develop videos or presentations for the Mission’s website, special events and social media outreach. Description

Over Night Guest Supervisor Intern
Description
Provides supervisory assistance in facilitating Overnight Guest services, and managing the Emergency Shelter facility at the Front Desk and throughout the building. Reports to Director of Overnight Guest Ministries; ministry, social work or psychology students preferred.

Description
Central Union Mission is seeking talented undergraduate and graduate students interested in workforce development, community development, urban and missional serving men who are experiencing homelessness. We believe that homelessness is a condition that is addressed by providing men with a spiritual foundation, counseling, long-term economic self-sufficiency and housing. As a Workforce Development Coach and Job Development Counselor you will participate on a team to:
- Evaluate guests’ skills, aptitude, qualifications, needs, and barriers to employment.
- Determine eligibility for appropriate programs and cost effective means for achieving customer objectives.
- Develop employment plans, training plans and assist with goals to achieve self-sufficiency.
- Plan and maintain programs, including employer and employee files and records of contact.
- Work collaboratively with individuals and businesses to assure positive placement outcomes.
- Coordinate with other partner agencies to assure customers are afforded all available resources and services.
- Attend regular meetings and job fairs with local businesses and agencies to assess labor trends, local vacancies and staffdevelopment opportunities
