Leveraging 140 years of experience helping people in need, Central Union Mission has expanded its ministry into Northern Virginia with its Mission: NOVA Center. The center provides a comprehensive range of services tailored to the specific needs of the community, including food, clothing, addiction recovery support, computer training, educational programs, health clinics, job training/placement, legal aid, ESL classes, life skills, parenting classes, after school programs (coming soon), and more. As always, Bible study, prayer, and discipleship we be woven into everything we do and our goal is to offer everything in both English and Spanish.
Following Christ’s command to work in community with the Body, we are significantly increasing our impact by intentionally working in partnership with other ministries to deliver more help to people in need. The center serves as a platform for both Central Union Mission’s great work and other ministries that want to serve alongside us.
All of this is in addition to our ongoing work in the District of Columbia and Maryland.
Governor Glenn Youngkin expressed his support for the initiative, emphasizing the importance of combating poverty and homelessness in the Commonwealth. Click here to watch.
This expansion signifies a milestone in Central Union Mission’s commitment to serving the DMV area and its dedication to improving the lives of those in need. Click here to read our Press Release on Mission: NOVA.
